The
Late
Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Smriti Sangeet Mahotsav
is an attempt to preserve the rich tradition of music and dance in
Indian culture. Artists of repute both national and international
have performed in this mahotsav. It is an exhilarating experience.
The repertoire ranging from pure classical music to light music and
dance rejuvenates the senses and has become the high point for music
lovers and members of
AaBaKaDa.
The sheer size and planned implementation of the mahotsav has
received acclaim both from the performing artists and the discerning
listeners. This sangeet mahotsav encompasses all forms of music and
dance and is the only one of its kind in India today. The mahotsav
therefore attracts a varied audience of 30 to 35 thousand persons
collectively, from Sangli and Kolhapur districts.
